Mercedes-AMG Petronas is the dominant force of Formula 1’s modern era, with eight consecutive constructors’ championships between 2014 and 2021 built from its chassis base in Brackley and engine facility in Brixworth. Team principal and co-owner Toto Wolff has overseen the operation throughout, and in 2026 the Silver Arrows are once again the team to beat.
2026 season
Mercedes holds the championship’s commanding position on both fronts: its power unit is the benchmark of the new regulations, and 20-year-old Kimi Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings after a season capped by his extraordinary victory from 19th on the grid at Monza — the drive Wolff likened to walking on water.
