The team
Haas is the grid’s leanest full-time operation and, until Cadillac’s arrival, its only American constructor. Founded by machine-tool magnate Gene Haas and racing since 2016, the team combines a Ferrari technical partnership with a growing engineering alliance with Toyota Gazoo Racing, whose name now sits on the entry.
2026 season
Haas has spent the year in the tight midfield scrap, its highlights coming from Oliver Bearman — the Ferrari-affiliated Briton who has consistently outscored the vastly more experienced Esteban Ocon. The team’s engine allocation dilemma at Monza, where it could give only one driver the latest Ferrari power unit, captured the reality of life as a customer team, and its verdict that Ferrari’s ADUO 2 upgrade was “no game-changer” carried more weight than most. Haas has also ruled out abandoning this year’s car early, with VF-26 updates continuing — a signal that the 2026 constructors’ position is worth real money to a team of its size.
